Summary: Responsible for thoroughly investigating personal injury, auto, medical, property damage, and accident claims in coordination with insurance adjusters and third party administrators.

Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the Risk and Insurance Manager with the help of the Insurance Clerk. Manage the organization’s claim submission, analysis, and completion process. Help determine whether organization liability exists and consult in-house legal as needed. Assure merited and unmerited claims are effectively managed. Maintain an excellent working relationship with organization’s customers, employees, divisions, and outside insurance vendors.

Summary: To adequately staff the ambulance service with certified Emergency Medical Technicians and to provide 24-hour medical services.

Must complete within 3 months of hire all advanced life support variances that are part of the ambulance service protocol.

Duties/Responsibilities: Adhere to ambulance policies, procedures, standing orders and protocols. Adhere to policies governing staff conduct. Work a minimum of four (4) scheduled shifts per month at part-time status or 32 hours per week minimum full-time status. Attend all scheduled and unscheduled in-service sessions and staff meetings.

Duties/Responsibilities: Must practice safety precautions and be safety conscious at all times. Performs grounds care, including but not limited to, mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, fertilizing, watering, reseeding, applying fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and sterilants; sweeping walks and drives; patching parking lots and drives; repairing signs, snow removal, spreading sand, salt or ice melt. Operates, maintains power and non-powered grounds care equipment.

Summary: Assist in the daily operations of the program including supporting youth and facilitating coordination of the education, construction, case management, life skills, job placement and leadership components of the program to meet YouthBuild participant needs.

Education/Experience: Minimum of three years’ professional journey level construction experience required. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and First Aid and CPR training preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities: Work with the YouthBuild Coordinator to strengthen local relationships and develop partnerships for further broadening YouthBuild participant opportunities. Coordinate with Leech Lake programs and entities to develop a detailed construction plan and schedule, material needs and other information as required and keep them informed of construction progress and challenges. Identify leadership development and community service opportunities located within the Leech Lake community.

Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the Accounting Team Leader in recording and maintaining accurate general ledger balances and proper recording of revenue recognition. Perform closeouts on special revenue funds to include general journal entries, disbursement vouchers, and submitting financial status reports to funding agencies.

Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with preparation of weekly lesson plans, material needs, monthly newsletters, etc. Utilize developmentally appropriate practices and guidance. Effectively mainstream children with special needs into the program and utilize Developmentally Appropriate Practices & guidance.

Summary: This position will raise awareness of healthy nutrition on the LLR to the highest level possible by managing or preventing nutrition-related diseases along with a strong focus on pre-diabetes, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and cancer.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics required. Must be a Registered Dietitian licensed in the State of Minnesota is required. Training and certification in safe food handling or the ability to acquire within 1 year preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities: Provide assistance with development of educational materials for clients and health care staff. Provide nutrition consultation, as needed, in tribal health programs, diabetes program, elderly nutrition program, head-start programs, day care centers, tribal schools, food programs and WIC programs as they relate to diabetes prevention and management.

Summary: This position will work to assist in the improvement of the social and psychological functioning of children and their families and to maximize the family well-being and the academic functioning of children.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field. Prefer Licensed Social Worker. Completion of Target Case Manager training within one year of hire.

Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the child and the child’s family in obtaining needed mental health services by coordinating with the family and other agencies to assure collaboration of services, effectiveness of services, and continuity of care.

Duties/Responsibilities: Accepts and follow through with referral, evaluates client physical and/or mental condition based on review of client information. Administers assessment tools for diagnosis to understand client psychological needs and identify appropriate client services under the supervision of a mental health professional.

Summary: Responsible for providing direct mental health services, including psychotherapy, with an emphasis on individuals and families, using various treatment modalities and skills to produce social, psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being. May provide clinical supervision and coordinate grant funded therapeutic activities.

Education/Experience: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work and three (3) years’ experience in the mental health field required. Must be a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) required. Must be eligible for tribal licensure within 3 months of hire required.

Duties/Responsibilities: Completes initial assessment and reviews client history, including medical and family background and related environment. Provides comprehensive DSM standard diagnostic assessment. Certified or eligible to become certified to provide DC 0-3 assessments for children ages four and under.

Summary: Responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to children and families who are involved in, or is at risk to be in the child welfare system.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) or other Human Services related field is required, Associate’s Degree in Human Services may be considered, only if currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institute, working towards Bachelor’s level degree and degree is obtained within two years. Minimum requirement is AA in Human Services Field required with Case Supervision required.

Duties/Responsibilities: Familiarity with the Human Services programs and surrounding county social service agencies is required or willingness to learn. Develop case plan with families and monitor to ensure goals are achieved.

Summary: Responsible for preforming duties in a community based clinical setting related to the certification of clients for the Minnesota Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. The Nutrition Counselor will also be responsible for offering support, education about breastfeeding, and nutrition.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in any of the following: nutritional sciences; community nutrition; clinical nutrition; dietetics; public health nutrition; or related field. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Diet Technician Registered (DTR) required. Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Minnesota, or ability to attain licensure in Minnesota within 60 days, will also be considered.

Duties/Responsibilities: Duties would include assessments, counseling, referrals, promotion, and education in breastfeeding and nutrition. Conduct certifications for pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up 5 years of age. Take anthropometric measurements of WIC participants. Accurately assess nutritional needs and make recommendations consistent with sound nutritional practice and client’s ability to implement.

Summary: Responsible for providing opportunities for parents to empower themselves to become self-sufficient by assessing their needs.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required.

Duties/Responsibilities: Be familiar with current Head Start Performance Standards and the Leech Lake Center Based licensing requirements, Utilize developmentally appropriate practices and guidance. Attend Family Service Advisory Committee meetings and also attend parent meetings if requested.

Summary: Responsible for providing diagnoses, medication, and med management for LL Behavioral Health clients, ages 7-adult, as well as providing education and outreach when requested and approved by supervisor.

Education/Experience: Masters or doctoral prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or nurse practitioner program in psychiatric mental health. MN State Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified or Physician Assistant (PA) license and Registration by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. One year or more of mental health care experience preferred in tribally operated or Indian Health Service Programs.

Duties/Responsibilities: Screen and assess LLBH Clients. Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness. Have a current plan of care in the medical record and complete notes in a timely manner. Consult with other medical and clinical providers on a routine basis.

Summary: Provides Public Health Nursing (PHN) services to Native American clients on the Leech Lake Reservation

Education/Experience: Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required; Minnesota State Licensure preferred. Minnesota Licensure must be obtained within 1 year of employment, if Licensure is from another State. Experience in Public Health setting is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities: Provides group oriented patient education. Creates plan of action for each client/family served. Provides skilled nursing care under physician’s orders.

Experience in grant writing, grant management, program planning and program administration. Experience in tribal government preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for initiating research, conducting studies, developing plans and strategies for Reservation development projects.
