Weekly updates will be released to keep our Band Members updated on Tribal projects, divisions, and any federal-level information that may impact us. Print versions of Friday updates will be available monthly in the DeBahJimon.

Chi Miigwech to everyone who submitted updates for this week. This week the band broke ground on the wellness center and held an open house at the Twin Cities office.

Wellness Center 

Cass Lake-The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe broke ground, on May 28th on the upcoming 42 million dollar wellness center.  The center, which has been years in the making will include; lake access,  A pool, a basketball court/gym, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and a medical clinic.  

A full story and photos of the groundbreaking event will be available online next week and printed in the upcoming June issue of the DeBahJimon.

Fitness Center Summer Hours

The Fitness Center will introduce new seasonal hours, effective June 2, 2025.

The hours will be:

  • 6am – 7pm M-F
  • 9am – 12pm Sat

 

 

 

Leech Lake Brain Train

An interactive workshop on brain health & dementia awareness

10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Cedar Lakes Event Center, 6268 Upper Cass Frontage Rd NW, Cass Lake, MN

Elders and community members are invited to join us for a day of learning, activities, food, and prizes!

Each station will explore topics like:

  • Healthy Aging
  • Dementia awareness
  • Caregiving
  • Local support resources
