Join the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe to learn about the Tribe’s emergency response to the June 21 storm and the ongoing efforts to manage storm-damaged timber.
Topics include:
• Initial response and decision-making
• Salvage logging operations
• Timber stacked at Prince of Peace
• Long-term plans for cleanup and reforestation
• Tribal and allotment land ownership
• Collaboration with allotment landholders
Staff from DRM and Emergency Management will be available to provide updates, answer questions, and hear community feedback.
