UPDATE 11/22/22: Tax Rebate Amount increased to $500.00 per Tribal Council.
CASS LAKE- Starting the week of December 5th, 2022, the Tax Rebate for the amount of $250.00 will be distributed to all enrolled Leech Lake Band Members Rapid Paycards. The recipient needs to be enrolled as of October 28th, 2022, and 18 years of age as of December 4th, 2022. Those who are 18 years of age as of or after December 5th will have their funds deposited into Minor’s Trust. If a LL Band Member is incarcerated at the time of payment and is unable to receive funds through Rapid Paycard, a check will be distributed to where they are located. This is the only exception, all else will be funded to the cards.
What if I lost or misplaced my card?
For those who have lost or misplaced their Rapid Paycard, please call Rapid Customer Service, 1-888-727-4314 to report it lost/stolen and request a new card to be mailed to you.
What if I don’t have a card or I chose check for the 2022 Stimulus Payment?
For those who have not received their Rapid Paycard already, they will be registered and issued a Rapid Paycard.
In-person distribution events for these Rapid Paycards will be held on December 8th, 2022 from 9:00AM – 6:00PM at the following locations:
- Cedar Lakes Casino
- Leech Lake Twin Cities Office
- Duluth Area Office
- Bena Community Center
- Ball Club Community Center
Am I able to pick up cards for my family member, friend, etc.?
No, all individuals must be physically present to pick up their debit card. You may not pick up someone else’s debit card. A form of ID (State, Driver’s License, Tribal ID, Enrollment printout) will be required to pick up the Rapid Paycard at the Distribution events.
What documentation do I need?
If you need to update your address, please complete and submit a W-9 form to the Accounting office. Please submit your updated W-9 form to Accounting by November 23rd, 2022, so we have time to update your information in our system to get it to you without delay. All cards not picked up at the Distribution sites will be mailed to the mailing addresses listed on the 2022 Stimulus Application or to the address listed on the updated W-9 form.
